The Big Tent festival (26-27 July) Scotland’s Festival of Stewardship is a weekend of celebrations, music, art and creativity which champions the work of the environmental movement and those concerned with the conservation of the living world.
A rich and diverse cast of artisans, musicians and performers will journey to the festival to perform against the magnificent backdrop of Falkland Palace, transforming the normal tranquil historic Fife village into a riot of colour and activity. A Campsite is added this year allowing our visitors to join us on our picturesque estate for a fabulous weekend. Our Food Village organised by top chef and food author Christopher Trotter will feature the freshest local and organic food whilst the brand new big 'hullabaloo' music tent will showcase a stirring line up of serious ‘Celtic and world music’ talent including headliners King Creosote and The Peatbog Faeries. Of course Big Tent has always been about sharing ideas and we have also added expanded zones featuring environmental lifestyle, renewable energy, holistic therapies and treatments as well as a fantastic children's area.
All this plus a dynamic programme of debates featuring the very best in 'Big Green Thinking' and contributions from writers, scientists, academics and inspiring individuals involved in safeguarding the future of Planet Earth.
