GEO has developed 40 good stoves - biomass as fuel http//www.goodstove.com ranging from 15% to 40% efficiency. India requires 120 million good stoves. The whole world requires at least a total of 500 million Good Stoves. GEO has declared all its stove designs as Open Knowledge http://www.okgeo.org Seeking support in research, capacity building, micro-enterprises for community adoption of the good stoves for health (atleast 1.6 million people die every year due to smoke), biomass conservation (deforestation), climate change mitigation (CO2 emissions and global warming), etc. benefits.

This project seems excellent! does any one know what happened to the project that was providing LED lights to families, allowing school kids to study and families to live with less smoke in their homes
( also reducing emissions considerably)?
