Eliminate Plastic Bags in All Grocery Stores and Gas Stations Today!, 61°

About This Project

Translucent Advertising distributes 100% compostable t-shirt bags to all “brick and mortar” locations (i.e., retail, grocery stores, gas stations, etc) within select networks at no cost for daily usage by store customers, removing the need for store owners to purchase environmentally hazardous plastic bags instead.

All of our 100% compostable and biodegradable bags contain prime advertising space available for purchase for companies seeking to maximize their brand exposure in niche markets, as well as make a positive impact on the environment. By taking part in our mission to eliminate plastic bags, all companies have the opportunity to take the green movement to the corporate level.

Nearly 380 billion plastic bags are used in the United States every year. To put this into greater perspective, it takes an estimated 12 million barrels of oil to make that many plastic bags. Sadly, only a little over 1% of all plastic bags in the United States end up being recycled. Thousands of marine mammals and more than 1 million birds die each year as a result of plastic pollution. In fact, the United Nations Environment Program estimates that there are 46,000 pieces of plastic litter floating in every square mile of ocean.

Made using only naturally compostable materials, our 100% compostable t-shirt bags decompose naturally over time and leave no harmful residues behind. Certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute to meet the ASTM D6400 specification, our bags are GMO free and do not contain polyethylene. Our bags also vary in size according to the needs of each individual “brick and mortar” location.

Translucent Advertising’s green movement is open to any store or company searching for an affordable and eco-friendly advertising solution, which has the potential to make plastic bags obsolete. Translucent Advertising’s advertising method is patent-pending.
