I was in Antarctica for six months and loved it but I have returned to my regular job. What would that be? Military stuff and traveling. There is so much research and polar science going on that shutting down this project and the voice it gives to guests of Antarctica would be a shame. So I have been hard at work recruiting others who are on the ice to take up the challenge and contribute stories, pictures and interviews. It took a bit of prodding but I finally have a small band of brothers and sisters who are using the pen and the world wide web to get the message about polar science and the experiences of Antarctica out for everyone to read. No matter where you are in life you can make difference.
“I seemed to vow to myself that some day I would go to the region of ice and snow and go on and on till I came to one of the poles of the earth, the end of the axis upon which this great round ball turns.” Earnest Shackleton, British Antarctic Explorer, (1874-1922)
"Adventure is just bad planning." Roald Amundsen, Norwegian Arctic & Antarctic explorer (1872-1928)
"Had we lived I should have had a tale to tell of the hardihood, endurance and courage of my companions which would have stirred the heart of every Englishman. These rough notes and our dead bodies must tell the tale." Robert Falcon Scott, British Antarctic Explorer (1868-1912)
