I have worked in many different areas but most recently as an editor for the newsletter of the Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery in California; landscape designer and gardener; freelance writer; and manager of the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. My Buddhist practice informs my environmental practice. I am constantly delighted by the natural world I see around me. I live in the woods in rural Massachusetts, accompanied by squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs, foxes and many types of birds. This place of timeless beauty enthralls me and encourages me to write for the benefit of us all.
