Re: Freelance jobs & free publicity for writers in the Peace & Green movements.
PeacePaint publishes a weekly newsletter to 350,000 subscribers. Our goal is to distribute important information on ecological issues and military matters. We want to fill in the gaps left by the mainstream media.
Each newsletter presents in-depth coverage of a specific topic. You can visit PeacePaint.com to review recent issues. As you will see, a standard newsletter: (i) reprints excerpts of well-researched/well written articles, (ii) profiles an organization doing valuable work, and (iii) features an original essay.
Funding for PeacePaint comes from an e-commerce storefront which is affiliated with some of the world’s leading not-for-profits and NGOs - from UNICEF and CARE to Sierra Club and Greenpeace. We also promote the sale of a wide range of significant books.
PeacePaint hires writers who are involved in the Peace and Green movements. We are especially interested in writers who: (i) have written books on a relevant topic or (ii) are actively involved with a relevant organization. You would work independently to compile the content for a complete Newsletter. You can update a past issue or work on a new topic. You can select from an existing list of topics or suggest a new one.
PeacePaint is not a wealthy business, but we can pay you a fee of $200. Moreover, and more importantly, we can provide significant promotion for your own book and/or your organization – both in the newsletter and on the website.
Ideally, you will select a topic within your area of expertise, so that you can easily aggregate existing articles and write an original essay. And, of course, that topic should overlap with the subject matter of your book and/or the field in which your organization operates.
If you are interested in the work and are OK with the deal, please e-mail me.
