EDC Zero Waste consultants are working to reduce landfill contributions by the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair - the Original, a large annual event 50 years old this year. The Art Fair is held every July in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Attendees number 500,000 over four days. Last year we were able to divert 10 tons from entering the waste stream, approx. 48%. This year we have expanded the program to include composting and expect to divert 80-90% during the Townie Street Party and increase landfill diversion rates by another 20% during the art fair. www.artfair.org
