Description:
Forecast and document accurate number of leads from each marketing channel on a weekly basis;
Sell and present all facets of REC Solar as well as the sales consultants in the market place. The Field Marketing Manager will need to utilize these skills during all marketing functions (networking, events, and advertising);
Create tradeshows and community events calendar for each region. Shares the time and workload commitment for working events, which primarily occur on weekends;
Manage all marketing events equipment and make sure all parts are kept in good condition;
Manage and distribute all regional clothing items and marketing collateral, which includes business cards, sell sheets, and marketing brochures Coordinate with the existing local retail account relationships and develop new partnerships with businesses and organizations (such as local health food store or local businesses for EPP);
Create Costco Road Show calendar for each sales region;
Manage all marketing events and promotions that exist within your territory, which includes communications with warehouse management for road show set up, local promotions, and anything else related to marketing with Costco;
Develop and execute all community programs where it is appropriate;
Develop new grass roots marketing campaigns to build the company’s brand awareness;
Create calendar for new marketing programs in each region;
Work with corporate designer to develop advertisements for regional publications.
Update all web pages on the regional website sections. This includes updating events on a monthly basis, new promotions, new employee bios, and anything else pertaining to their region;
Provide feedback about Search Engine Optimization strategies and keywords;
Maintain and stay within the marketing budget;
Track all major competitors advertising and promotional campaigns and analyze effectiveness in the market;
Build relationships with local media outlets to create news opportunities;
Work with corporate PR to write press releases and articles;
Be an industry expert about all related projects, news, and updates.
Requirements
5+ years of marketing related work experience;
Management experience;
Strong understanding of the local market where position is located;
Existing relationships with local organizations and PR channels, (Sierra Club, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.);
Excellent planning and project management skills;
Proven track record of building and executing on marketing platforms;
Ability to analyze marketing programs and perform basic marketing analytics, to report on
effectiveness of various marketing programs;
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
Creative and hand’s on individual who is willing to work at a rapid pace;
Proficient with the following programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Photoshop, and other art programs such as Illustrator.
Must be able to lift boxes as heavy as 40-50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
