Description:
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development will be responsible for growing worldwide revenues for Amonix. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for the marketing, communications and government relations activities supporting revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be a full participant in the ongoing development of the Company’s business plan
• Review and regularly update the marketing and business development plan and forecast in concert with the ongoing development of the Company’s business plan
• Identify new business opportunities and entry strategies
• Plan, structure and negotiate new agreements and programs
• Manage marketing and business development staff domestically and internationally
• Provide market intelligence to the technical staff to enhance product development efforts
• Create and maintain all sales tools, collateral and materials including the corporate website
• Lead government relations and lobbying activities
• Manage all other external corporate communications and serve as the primary media contact point

A competitive compensation plan has been established that will reward successful performance. The package will include a base salary and stock options.

Requirements
• Demonstrated successful track record of leading marketing and business development teams in the alternative energy sector
• Experience dealing with regulated utilities including negotiation of special contracts such as power purchase agreements and stand-by agreements
• Solid understanding of energy markets, alternative energy credits and alternative energy portfolio standards
• A minimum of 15 years progressive business experience in the energy sector including five years of direct experience with alternative energy systems and two years of solar energy experience; electric utility experience a plus
• B.S. Engineering or Business from a top tier university; MBA or equivalent strongly desired
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starting orientation with the drive to “make things happen”
• Prior lobbying, public policy, public relations and international experience a plus
