Description:
The Sales Manager, Solar is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer accounts to meet sales objectives as required for the Solar market in North America.

Responsibilities:
• Manage existing customer accounts and accounts of strategic importance to the Solar market segment
• Responsible for the new business development in designated geographical regions and markets for existing and new products
• Responsible for Channel promotions within the Solar market in North America
• Coordinate account support with Channel Marketing and Customer Service, as required
• Responsible for the development of customer sales forecast in designated markets
• Establish new accounts/monitor credit status of existing accounts
• Develop strategic market plan your territory and markets

Requirements
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in establishing and maintaining sales account in similar industries
• Experience in managing distribution and complex pricing strategies as well as presenting business analysis to defend/support pricing logic to both internal and external constituents
• Experience promoting technical products and selling ‘the company' to executives
• Excellent customer relations orientation and experience selling to key accounts and sales executives
• Results-orientation and proven ability to deliver on commitments with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with an ability to work with multi-disciplined teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in database programs and MS Applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) as well as strong skills with ERP systems
• Must be able to travel frequently - up to 70% - within North America
• Understanding of Electrical products and their customers and channels a plus
• Experience with power electronics products an asset
