Description:
A solar sales representative who will use his roofing, solar and electrical knowledge to direct solar application sales through contractors, dealers, OEM’s and developers to the residential Northeastern USA markets with a growing renewable energy company located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The successful candidate will be a capable, self directed individual with the ability to initiate and close multiple complex sales applications simultaneously. The individual will be home/office based and reside in the New England States.

Responsibilities :
• Develop and qualify leads
• Proactively identify ways to support assigned contractor, dealer, OEM and developer accounts
• Provide solar training for residential and small commercial applications.
• Go on sales calls with account sales staff
• Identify local and regional events to drive leads
• Participate in business related trade shows and exhibitions
• Respond promptly to requests for information
• Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant incentives for solar systems
• Serve as a solar application expert
• Serve as a financial model expert
• Serve as roof qualification expert
• Provide solar presentations to residential communities and trade associations
• Ensure that accounts understand the level of company support by project type
• Provide technical support before and during solar installations
• Assure quality control on solar installations
• Proactively identify opportunities to use skills in other ways
• Other related duties as may be assigned
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or other technical discipline
• Two to five years experience in the solar energy industry, renewable energy industry, engineering consulting, construction industry, electrical/power electronic industry, electrical utility and/or other similar field
• Excellent analytical skills; able to think critically, analyze problems clearly and manage multiple variables
• Excellent presentation skills; able to create and present compelling information quickly and efficiently
• Established knowledge of solar energy, renewable energy, electrical/power electronics, roofing materials and/or other related knowledge preferred
• Ability to meet firm deadlines on a consistent basis
• Extensive computer skills, including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Business travel over 50% of the time is required for this position.
