The Arctic is currently in the midst of one of the worst ice melts in history. A leading climatologist states that the Arctic could be free of ice as early as 2015.
NDP's Megan Leslie recently asked for an emergency debate in Canada's House of Commons. However, House Speaker Andrew Scheer denied that request, saying "I don't think that meets the criteria for an emergency debate."
