Chlorine is a very harmful substance; It can give you itchy eyes, dry skin, dry/green hair, and it can trigger asthma attacks which are more dangerous in a pool. Along with the physical effects of chlorine there are also environmental effects, when the sun is shining, chlorine evaporates into the atmosphere creating ozone-altering emissions. An alternative to dumping chlorine is necessary. I found this,greenerpool.com. I got one, works out great...
