China:
25 million cars on the road (probably less than the UK??)
100 million E bikes!
Which says something about the mind set of the snobbish Brit.
And the trend is spreading, not just in developing countries.
Meanwhile, MIT has a new take on the electric bike. A self contained wheel, that includes batteries and regenerative motor. Can be charged from a battery charger, range about 20 miles and two wheels can be fitted.
