Over the last five years I have been giving talks about climate change to students, scouts, and youth groups. Because these young people are immersed in science in school, understanding climate change is not difficult, and they leave my talks ready to make changes in their lives to reduce their own carbon emissions. The challenge is that when these girls and boys go home, mom hands them a disposable water bottle, packs their lunch with Baggies, and cranks up the heat at the slightest chill in the air. To help moms, and dads, understand climate change and how their daily choices contribute to rising carbon in our atmosphere, I wrote a book called "Climate Moms". The book is specially designed for moms with the goal of empowering them to take control of the future of our planet. It is now available on iBooks or can be previewed at http://climatemoms.com. Please take a look and pass the word.
