The Atlantis Resources Corporation recently unveiled the world’s largest tidal power turbine in Scotland. The AK1000 weighs over a thousand tons and stands 74 feet tall, with a huge 18 meter rotor diameter.

The turbine, which is designed for extreme weather conditions, will generate 1MW of sustainable power to the Orkney grid in Scotland, enough to power 1000 homes.
