Who Killed the Electric Car - Revisited

Craig Mackintosh

Rather than pie-in-the-sky hydrogen, electric cars offer the potential to dramatically reduce emissions right now - as well as improve air quality, reduce vehicle maintenance costs for millions of motorists and even offer the potential for people to generate their own fuel from solar power. That's what makes the following bit of news so darned frustrating. Two electric car companies are being blocked from entering the Canadian market. The reason? It doesn't seem possible to get a difinitive response from the authorities involved....

I would encourage all Canadians to get on the phone and pressure your local political representative on this.

It doesn't take a great leap of reasoning to recognise how the oil industry might look upon sun-powered vehicles....
