With an early snowstorm, Timberland picked a prime weekend in NYC to stage a new popup micro shop near New York City’s iconic Flatiron building. The shop promoted their new Earthkeepers line of shoes and boots which contain recycled plastic bottles in the soles. The booth itself is made from 450 pounds of discarded plastic drinking bottles. These are contained in a circular structure made of recycled steel mesh.

The interior of the booth integrated other earth friendly materials. The floor is made from salvaged barn wood. Renewable cork and FSC certified wood, low VOC paints and low energy LED lighting were also used. The Earthkeepers micro shop will travel to San Francisco next and will be installed near Union Square in the coming weeks.
