Well, that must be so annoying for the Koch Brothers. Don't ya just love it ?
Funding a quarter of the $600,000 research study undertaken by Richard Muller, confidently expecting that he would say that climate change was not happening , and damn... he comes out and says it's very real.
He had long pursued sceptic theories and they must have considered him a safe bet...because they wouldn't be funding him otherwise.
But having done the work he now agrees that the Earth was 1.6 degrees warmer than in the 1950s.Actually he comes to the same conclusions as most scientists. But clearly that was not meant to happen.
Richard Muller, a physicist who spent two years trying to see if mainstream climate scientists were wrong about the earth's climate changes, determined that they were right, the Associated Press reported.
"The skeptics raised valid points and everybody should have been a skeptic two years ago," Muller told the AP. "And now we have confidence that the temperature rise that had previously been reported had been done without bias."
"Now he's considered a traitor," said author Shawn Lawrence Otto, who wrote a book Fool Me Twice.
"For the skeptic community, this isn't about data or fact. It's about team sports. He's been traded to the Indians. He's playing for the wrong team now."
The interesting thing is that is what the debate has descended to in parts of the world, as though somesort of religious adherence to a viewpoint makes it right.
But we have to agree that we love the fact that he used Koch Brothers money to prove them wrong. That's delightful.
