Reminiscent of the analog blogging that we wrote about earlier this year, we take inspiration from Open Mind’s Question Box project that attempts to make the internet’s information accessible to individuals in the developing world.
Solar-powered intercoms are installed in villages, enabling anyone to connect with a live operator at the touch of the button.
In essence, the service is designed to bring real-time answers to under served populations in way that is both understandable and relevant. The Question Box program is currently operating in parts of India and Uganda.[via Springwise]
