Polar Bears, Sea Ice and Climate Change

Polar bears International

Polar Bears International (PBI) is excited to be launching a new online community called My Planet, My Part. My Planet, My Part offers live HD video of polar bears, web casts with experts and a forum to meet like-minded individuals all in one place.

This is especially timely as climate change has negatively affected the population of polar bears in Canada and has reduced their migration season due to declining sea ice. Live HD cameras  feature these polar bears and I’d be happy to arrange an interview with one of our experts who can speak about the current state of polar bears, climate change and the importance of sea ice.

To help spread the word about climate change and help inspire others to do their part, PBI is hosting a contest to find a “Polar Bear Ambassador” and have created an inspiring video detailing the importance of sea ice for our polar bears:

The grand prize is a trip to Churchill, Canada to view the wild polar bears. The contest is asking for stories, photos and video of how individuals are reducing their carbon footprint at home, school or their community.
