There’s no way I can resist the appeal of a story like this .
A group of Boston designers has created this spectacular design for a city which can float to sit on the bank of the Mississippi. It’s known as the New Orleans Arcology Habitat, or NOAH. Nice! The triangular shape allows weather to blow through.Comes complete with Hurricane panels. It's big, coming in at 1200 feet high. It's designed for 40,000 people and has all the things you expect in a modern city .
Inspired by the destruction and deaths of Hurrican Katrina, this looks unusual , but we may need to break the mould a bit in our thinking of new cities .
