Musical Interlude - I Love Trash!

Rena Sherwood

"Sesame Street" icon Oscar the Grouch turned green in 1970 (his original color was orange). This is his theme song, "I Love Trash", penned by the immortal Jeff Moss (who also wrote "Rubber Ducky"). Considering the rate of trash made by society,   how even the beaches are filling up with it, we'll probably all get very intimate with our trash soon.  It's surprising that Oscar the Grouch has never really caught on as a symbol of the green movement.  Kermit the Frog has, but who knows what his carbon footprint is really like after doing ads for hybrid vehicles.
