- Fortunately, Obama is already reversing Bush's climate policy, taking steps to raise fuel efficiency standards and grant states authority to limit greenhouse gas emissions from cars.
- In the UK, hospital food is going vegetarian to "save carbon" (by which they mean to save money, but I'll take it).
Bad News
- Researchers reveal that, even if we stop emitting carbon, much of the damage wrought by climate change is irreversible and temperatures will remain high for the next 1000 years.
- A new study shows global warming would create permanent dead zones if nothing is done.
- Antarctic sea creatures are hypersensitive to global warming, as they can only survive in a very narrow temperature range.
- Australia is suffering through its worst heatwave in 100 years, courtesy of global warming.
- US ecosystems are out of balance because wolves and other predators have been wiped out.
