If you aren't a regular user of our Celsias Projects, you are missing out on one of the highlight's of Celsias, the opportunity to get involved. Below the fold are 5 projects that I recommend you check out:
- Earth 2100 - for aspiring film makers, futurists and creative people of all types. Make and submit a video about what you think earth will be like in 2100. It might become part of the documentary on ABC, set to air in fall of 2008.
- YERT Your Environmental Road Trip - Watch as Ben, Mark and a pregnant Julie make their way across 52 states in 50 weeks exploring environmental sustainability in America and living by a set of rules for low impact living that most of us would find challenging to follow in our own homes, let alone on the road.
- Ride to Sustain - Colin Davis and his buddies road their bikes 4000 miles to talk to people about climate change and how to solve it. Help them take the footage from that incredible journey (including a close encounter with a bear) and turn it into a documentary film.
- The Bright Green Idea - Promising environmental innovations are awarded development and investment funding. The whole thing is filmed for New Zealand television to increase exposure. This is for all the inventors and creative thinkers out there that want to put their ideas in motion.
- Hotel Diaries - Follow along and give input as Tom Rand takes a run-down building in Toronto and turns it into a green hotel. The goal is to reduce the building's carbon footprint by 80% while making sound financial decisions. Have ideas about green building? Tom's the guy wanting to hear them.
