Celsias Roadmap: It Is All About People!

Sneak Preview of People page! Shhh!!
by Nick Lewis, CEO

We mentioned recently that we are re-launching Celsias next month. So far, we are on schedule (a complex software project on schedule? No way!) Way, we say! Celsias is blessed with an amazing software design and development team, a talented group of people who are passionate about their work and their passion shows every day.

Speaking of talented people, on to the next installment of the Celsias Roadmap; you!

You will soon be able to add your profile to Celsias, from only a username all the way through to uploading your resume, videos, pictures, and everything in between. Why? We have heard from many of you that there are precious few places on the web for people interested in climate change to share their war stories, successes, and occasional failures. Celsias People is for those of us who want to learn about what is happening day-to-day in the world of climate change, at ground level, where the shovel meets the earth, where people make a difference every day.

So how might you use Celsias People?

  • Start a local climate change project, advertise it on Celsias and recruit volunteers
  • Brainstorm - sanity check your ideas against the experiences of others
  • Search for other climate-passionate Celsias People in your community
  • Build your online resume listing your climate change accomplishments and raise your profile (and further your career - why not, right?)
  • Profile your previous climate change projects on Celsias and give your interested readers an occasional update
We will be launching the new site with a few ‘seed’ projects to get us started, then looking to the community to add their own…but that will be the topic of our next Celsias Roadmap post, Celsias Projects. Until then, you, the Celsias community, will have the best ideas for your site so send us your suggestions using the comment link below!
