Vice President Joe Biden in a surprise announcement on Sunday night told environmental groups that the Obama administration would not let climate change fall by the wayside in the President's second term.
"I'll tell you what my green dream is: that we finally face up to climate change," Biden said during a surprise appearance at the "Green Ball," an inaugural weekend event for environmental groups."I came to say thank you," Biden said
The action on climate change has been less than stellar during the first term, and while power plant emissions action and vehicle fuel efficiency standards have been improved dramatically it has looked like the oil companies and climate change deniers still have a huge say in US climate change policy are still in charge
With time running out fast and extreme weather events around the globe reinforcing the need daily Greens are seeking hope that Obama will be real and act on his rhetoric this term.
Biden did not elaborate on what the administration's approach will be but said, "I don'tintend on ending this four years without getting an awful lot more done.”
He added: "Keep the faith."
Faith- an unusual word because it implies believing in something that you can not see, know or touch.
Keep them real , we reckon
