By lowering the temperature in our homes, we consume less electricity or natural gas - and that's in turn puts less CO2 up the pipe and into the atmosphere!

We don't have a thermostat - we just heat the rooms we're in, and only when we need to.
Some rooms (the bathroom and kitchen) we never heat.

We don't have a thermostat or central heating system either, so this one's pretty easy... I put a lot of extra clothes on before I will resort to heating the room. After all, it's the person in the room I want to be warm, not the room itself.

In the winter I keep the thermostat at 62 degrees, and it's comfortable for me. If I need to, I put a sweater on. People think I'm crazy, but, hey, it works for me!
