It makes my children happy, too. They are learning that it can be more fun to shop for others than just buy junk for themselves. Now, if I can find a way to make Christmas more about giving than about getting... that might be a bit too much for young children. Perhaps a 50/50 compromise on that.

this is the time of the year al should thank there higher power (no matter what religion you are) and ba a secret santa or gift giver to a needy family REMEMBERthat person that let you slide for the penny or nickel at the store that person is always helping
it may not seem like alot but if you think that person lets three people go a week for a total of 15 cents that 60 cents a month 7.20 ayear times how many years and so on it really adds up SO try to do your part bring your old winter close to a shelter,buy an extra loaf of bread and make pp&j sandwichis what ever you can and see what it does for the people you help AND your stress level
you will be amazed so will your doctor

One way that I like to pitch in is to donate from time to time to GridAlternatives.org. They install solar panels for low-income homeowners.
