If you see a piece of litter on the ground, pick it up. Not only will it help our environment, it could save a wild animal :-)

I've developed a habit of picking up bottles out of the street near my house and tossing them in the recycling. It's a simple way to make the environment a little better; why would anyone not want to do that?

I used to call it 'getting paid to go for a hike' when we would cash in the beer bottles- I wish I had a picture of my now college age son, coming off the trail with a bag of litter he had picked up almost as big as him- (he was 3 then) can you say proud Papa?
