One of the reasons I left my last job was so that I could work from home. This has changed life dramatically, not only reducing my petrol consumption but also giving me heaps of spare time.

I hope to be working form home three days a week by next (New Zealand) summer when our energy-efficient home is complete. Unfortunately three months is the furthest away as listed in the drop down list under "I pledge to do this by"...possibly extend this a bit Celsias team!? :-)

I am now able to work from home 3 days a week, instead of going to the office everyday. I also bought my home, so I was less than 5 miles from the office.

I try and work from home at least 2 days a week whenever I can.

I work from home 4 days a week.

Far less distracting than a cube farm. I live in a rural area which makes things a lot more peaceful than being in the city.

I love the 10 second commute. Sure, on the day I do go to work I travel further, but averaged out it is not so far.

This is not really unselfish at all. I love my 10 foot commute to work! I have my own software company run from my home.

I worked from home 1/2 time last year, and started telecommuting full-time in 2012. It's a great arrangement for me and my employer, though I think it can still be a challenge to sell many managers on the benefits.
