-- Recently, the residents of Montville, a small community located in Maine, became the first town outside of California to ban the cultivation of genetically engineered crops. To do so, they had to take on the deep pockets and misguided motivations of corporations such as Monsanto, the Halliburton of the farming industry. Leslie Berliant speaks with some of the courageous farmers and town residents of Montville who helped to make this ban a reality, and they are joined in the discussion by Jeffrey Smith, founder of the Institute for Responsible Technology and author of Seeds of Deception, which is a book that the residents of Montville claimed as a major source of the inspiration and information that led to the actions they took.
-- And of course, we hear from news personality Morton Welles, aka Ande Parks, who brings us his own views about Monsanto, along with some breaking news.
