Musical Interlude: Free Hugs

You know, as mentioned in a previous post, we all have different perspectives on things. We all need to do what we each believe is right. Sometimes, with our best intentions, we clash with others who have their own best intentions. It's good to take a moment to consider the other's viewpoint. To relax, and sympathise, even if we can't empathise.

In that spirit, I can't help but post this really cool story about a guy that decided to offer free hugs. The results were so overwhelmingly positive, that the local constabulary decided it had to be banned. But, that aside, it's a beautiful story. It even caught Oprah's attention!

Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal.

As this symbol of human hope spread accross the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs campaign BANNED. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring. - FreeHugsCampaign

This story shows how one person can make a difference. We can step outside of our comfortable boundaries, outside of 'convention', and make life more than what it was.

Oh, if you're in a hugging mood - head over the Hugg, where you can learn a lot about what's happening in the environmental world.
