The Sweet & Sour Taste of Victory

You won't need me to inform you that the 'Inconvenient Truth' enviro-documentary took the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. That's a great push for efforts to promote environmentalism in the world, and we hope it'll encourage those that haven't already to take a look at this movie.

Unfortunately, the sour side of this news is a smear campaign has arisen as a result. In fact, it appears to have been pre-planned so as to synchronise with the anticipated win. The figures from this 'Drudge Report' were quickly placed on our own site (note comments #14-16).

Al Gore's office have responded here.

Sigh.

While some have little to do but try to destroy any efforts at improving our chances of survival, it was encouraging (almost surprising!) to see the Awards people themselves trying to green up their act!
